In north China, when winter temperatures fall below zero degree, negative temperaturewill have damage to the civil engineering, particularly have serious damage to the canalengineering. Therefore, these problem reduces efficiency of canal project, causing seriouswater resources’ wasting. So it become an engineering problem to be solved quickly thatpreventing and controlling channel frost heaving damage in these areas. Then the prioritystudy is how to calculate channel antifreeze accurately and use the appropriate anti-freezingexpansion measures.As we all know, design principle of design is simple, but the amount of calculation andselection of parameters is so large in the calculation process, such as some parameters need tocheck figures or tables, leading to many accidental error and the calculation process iscomplex. So we consider that if we can develop an auxiliary software system to replacerepeating and multifarious work, thus improving efficiency and accuracy of the channelanti-frost design work. At present, there are related auxiliary software on channel designingaspects in our country, but there is not yet a specially software used in channel anti-frostdesign. the design theory of comprehensive analysis of channel antifreeze bulge, it is verynecessary to develop an auxiliary channel antifreeze expansion design software which isfriendly interface, easy to operate and fully function.In view of the concrete lining channel frost heaving damage, the paper discussed domesticand foreign progress on channel anti-frost work, summarized the current engineeringmeasures widely used in the channels of antifreeze. The following study work then to bedone emphatically:(1) Based on the standard SL23-2006for channel anti-frost heave design, a softwarewhich is in c++language is developed to meet the demand. This aided software can improvethe accuracy of calculation by transforming check figure into reduction formula according tothe design theory of specifications, thus greatly improving the efficiency of work. (2)The software has a friendly interface and is with simple procedure and strongpracticability. Example analysis reveals that the precision of this software can meet therequirements. That is to say, this software can reduce the engineering design personalworkload, which in return improve the working efficiency.(3) Taking Jinghui Channel in Gansu province as the prototype channel, regarding thecanal base soil and lining body as a whole structure, according to the isotropic mediumpermafrost and combining with the finite element analysis software ABAQUS, with thermaland stress transient direct coupling to analysis and calculate the lining channels which arelaying different thickness insulation board, we summarized the distribution rule oftemperature field and displacement field of lining channel under the condition of differentheat preservation measures in the coldest time. Through the comparison and analysis, it isconcluded that the optimal thickness of insulation board slope of night side and sunny side is8cm, canal bottom is3cm.(4) Through compared the result of experiment and computer simulation results, thedistribution regular of channel design frozen depth and frost heave quantity is nearly similar.It indicate that numerical simulation proposed method is feasible and then has certainreferential and leading significance for similar project design.
