Underground space in modern society has been widely used, and it hasbecome an indispensable part of the modern city. Especially as the rapiddlydevelopment of the underground rail transport, the metropolis and the megacityhas greatly improved the ground traffic congestion dilemma. As theunderground structures long construction period, high cost, difficultconstruction, then its destruction will cause the direct and indirect economiclosses greater than the general structure of the ground. However, there is a bigdifference compared with the vibration characteristics of the undergroundstructures and the ground structure, and copying the ground aseismic designmethod for seismic design of underground structures is not desirable. Therewere many times the tunnels, subway stations, underground drainage and otherunderground structures destroyed in the history of the earthquake. Once thedamage of the underground structures, and the repair work is quite difficult. Onthe basis of summarizing predecessors’ work, through the numerical simulationand theoretical analysis, this paper comparative studied the superiority andinferiority of some underground structure seismic design methods, andconducted a sensitivity analysis of the parameters of the response displacementmethod,specific content as follows:1. The present researchBased on the analytical method, numerical simulations and simplifiedanalysis method,this paper from three aspects to introduce the research statusof the underground structure seismic design method.2. The Seismic design method of underground structuresThis paper introduces the calculation forms and advantages anddisadvantages and engineering applicability of the five kinds of undergroundstructure seismic design method(the seismic coefficient method, the free fielddeformation method, the soil-structure interaction coefficient method, theresponse displacement method, and finite element pseudo-static method).3. Comparative analysis of underground structures design methodson the basis of the five kinds of calculation methods,which haveintroduced in the second chapter in this paper, this5kinds of undergroundstructure seismic design method were analyzed in different buried depth and soil shear modulus,and stratified soil。The calculated results were comparedwith the dynamic finite difference calculation results by Flac2D software.4. Displacement response method parameters sensitivity analysisThis paper made a sensitivity analysis of4kinds of calculation parameterof response displacement method, and compared two kinds of the commonlyused calculation model.5. The improvement of the response displacement methodThis paper by adjusting the calculate parameters (shear force, inertialforce, spring coefficient) and the calculation result to improve the responsedisplacement method. The results show that the improved responsedisplacement method is superior to the traditional response displacementmethod.
