With the development of the intelligent power system, many devices of thepower system are developed towards intelligent, circuit breaker is also developedtowards intelligent, but now the intelligent circuit breaker is composed oftraditional circuit breaker and intelligent control unit, and plus on the displaydevice, not really intelligent, so researching the intelligent circuit breaker hasimportant significance in the future.First, this article introduces the researching background of the subject, andthe development of intelligent circuit breaker, the principle and the function ofmodern intelligent circuit breaker is be given, the difference between traditionalcircuit breaker and intelligent circuit breaker are also be described, how to createa new intelligent circuit breaker is on the basis of the traditional circuit breaker.Then the protected principle of intelligent circuit breaker is introduced.In order to facilitate the use of circuit breaker, many modules are designedin the intelligent control unit in this paper, the design of the acquisition moduleand the controller of the intelligent circuit breaker are mainly discussed, thedetailed design of each module is according to its function, sampling currenttransformer and sampling bridge of voltage on the front are also designed,sampling circuit of sampling board, amplifying circuit, circuit of the controllerand optical fiber transmission circuit are designed; the whole controller is begiven, the hardware of controller is set up in details, it mainly includes theoptical receiving circuit, the circuit of open into, the circuit of the Ethernetcommunication, interface circuit for time, control circuit of the core and itsperipheral circuit.Finally, the experimental platform is set up, the comprehensive test of thecontroller is detected, the test results of gathering module and the core controllerare presented, and the output of gathering module matches format defined in this text, the format of Ethernet communication conforms the standard of IEC61850-9-2LE.
