Abstract:With the rapid development of railway engineering, relevant noise pollution has consequently drawn unprecedented attention.Due to its superior performance and low cost for constructing, noise barrier has been widely accepted and applied in the field of railway noise reduction investigation. However, the noise sources between high-speed railway and normal railway differs significantly, which hinders the sound barrier from working as effectively in high-speed railway. Therefore, the research in improving the noise reduction effect of high-speed railway barriers is epoch-making for the improvement of residential life along high-speed railways as well as sustainable development. The author has carried out works as follows, which is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (51078361) and Key project of Hunan province soft science(2008ZK2015):(1) An overall introduction of the noise reduction principle and insertion loss calculation method of noise barrier.(2) Theoretical study of sound barrier simulation and tests on SYSNOISE-based numerical simulation method.(3) Referring to Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway subgrade, a high-speed railway subgrade model was established using ANSYS and further simplified according to reasonable assumptions. Dual noise source mode was adopted for high-speed railway models on the reference to researches on the characteristics of high-speed railway sound sources.(4) Simulation analysis on vertical noise barriers under different noise source models was carried out using SYSNOISE, and the theoretical results were compared with experimental results, by which the validity and accuracy of dual noise source and sound barrier models were proved. On this basis, simulation analysis on high-speed railway noise barriers of different height and structures were conducted and suggestions of improving the noise reduction effect were proposed.Considering the wide range of noise frequency and multi sound sources of high-speed railway noise, a dual sound source mode was innovatively adopted in simulation analysis. The spatial sound pressure distribution with consideration of acoustic reflection from the train was investigated and considered, which improved the accuracy and rationality of simulation analysis and further providing reliable reference for the designing and application of high-speed railway sound barriers.
