The single phase grounded fault of distribution network occurs frequently. Thesolving of this problem will greatly improve the working efficiency of the productionand reduce the lost incurred. Therefore it is of great significance to carry out thelocation research in this respect.The general method used after grounded occurred is to turn off the switch, andinput a determinate signal to the distribution network. Then the fault location can bedetermined by the detector. The key factor in the process is a reliable and stablesignal source. However the current signal source uses high power IGBT driven byVLA517. The signal source is current constant by means PWM. There are someproblems in the signal source, which make it succeptible to damage while continuousworking. While changing the damaged IGBT is time consuming. Besides the controlmethods is by pushing-key control. It is inconvenient to operate. The display meansis digitron, which is very limited for displaying.This paper shows the fault location of the single phase grounded of distributionnetwork,and courrent situation in the respect both home and aboard.Then thecomposition of signal sourse is discussed. By rectification, filtering, full bridgebuck-boost inverter the output signal is kept invariant by means of pulse widthmodulation. The paper shows the driving requirment of IGBT based on thecharacteristic of IGBT, and makes an improvement to pheripheral of the VLA517.The paper discusses the working principle of touch screen, and implements thedriving and control of touch screen by means of programming. The paper improvesthe control and display means of the signal source, and disigns the functions ofdisplay and control and elabrorate them, and carry out the programming of displayand touch screen control.
