This will increase the risk ofhitting high voltage line, trees, houses and other obstacles. According to statistics: morethan70%helicopter accidents are caused by collision of high voltage line and wire likeobjects, Therefore, it is very necessary to research on airborne high voltage line collisionavoidance system.With the background of On-Line Precautionary Device of Obstruction forHelicopter which is the project of an institute. This thesis summarizes the problemsexisting in the collision avoidance system on the basis of analysis on collision avoidancetechnique for helicopter. An airborne high voltage line anti-collision device has beendesigned using infrared imaging technology and digital image processing technology.Inorder to solve the problem of image jitter which is caused by the jitter and flight attitudefuselage instantaneous changes of helicopter, An electronic image stabilization device isused which can effectively reduce the influence to the reliability and accuracy of thehigh-pressure line recognition. On the basis of analysis on the characteristics of the highvoltage line, a algorithm for recognition of power line based on infrared images fromnatural complex background is proposed, This algorithm has solved the disadvantages ofthe traditional Canny algorithm. Firstly; an improved Canny operator is used to realizeimage segmentation, and then combined with mathematical morphology filter whichcould eliminate the object which looks like an high voltage line. Finally; an Houghtransform is studied to automatic extract and recognize the power lines.In order to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm, An640×480pixel infrareddetector which is produced by FLIR has used as a front end, combined with theTMS320DM642digital signal processor, a digital image process platform is built.Through the actual test, the system can better identify the high voltage line whose diameter30-50mm within500m. It also verifies the exactitude of the method mentionedin this paper. The device can avoid the loss to the helicopters caused by the high-pressureline.It also has a certain reference value to the follow-up study. |
