| Previous earthquake damage shows that under the moderate or strong earthquakes,the failure mechanism of frame structure are mainly composed of yield failure betweenthe layers.End-column first appeared damage,and the damage location set appears at alayer of the structure.The main cause of this phenomenon are the rigidity of the actualframe structural beam is greater than the actual frame structural column so the bearingcapacity of the beam is much higher than the bearing capacity of the column;Due to thecomponents such as floor,infilled wall increase the stiffness of the beam,the framecolumn become short column;Increasing the bending moment at the end of the columnfor the structure design in the seismic code aimed at achieving"strong columns andweak beams",but repeatedly raising column bending moment magnification factor isnot realistic.It is necessary to improve seismic performance of frame structure from theperspective of structural systems.Frame-rocking wall structure is a new type of structural system,and embeddedrock wall is a new form of rocking wall structure.Its bottom hinged with the foundationand there is a certain rotation capacity.Its upper and frame beam are fixed for avoidingthe complex connection constructed between the walls and the frame.It is convenient forarrangement in the location of the filled wall and used more widely.We design andmanufacture a one-eighth scale model of the embedded frame-rocking wallstructure.Made simulated earthquake shaking table test of it to get the model’s vibrationfrequency and damping ratio and acceleration reactions and displacement reactionsunder the action of earthquake.Recording the whole process of the destruction of themodel.Analyzes the structural model’s failure mechanism and seismic performanceunder the action of the earthquake.Studies have shown that:Under the earthquake action,the structure which framestructure embedded swing wall is overall yield and failure mechanismhe.In each layerof the model appears destruction on the column and the beam.There are many plastichinges appeare and they are distribute widely.The plasticity degree of development isdeep and the energy dissipation capacity is strong.Adding inline type swing wall makesthe frame beam’s span decreases and increases the rigidity of structure and naturalfrequency.Due to the influence of stiffness of the wall,the structural damage more distributed in the columns and beams of a cross which add the rocking wall and thestructural elements away from swing wall has less destruction.Compared with the pureframe structure, embedded frame rocking wall structure has higher seismic bearingcapacity and better ductility.Displacement response of each layer and interlayerdisplacement angle are less than the pure frame structure model under the sameintensity earthquake.The structure has not yet collapsed under the action of earthquakewhich has0.8g peak acceleration.And the structure has good self reset capability. |
