With the rapid development of economy, energy and environmental crises havebecome increasingly prominent. Especially in domestic vehicles quantity produced aseries of problems. Non renewable energy consumption and emissions of oilpollutionand global climate change become a severe challenge that e very country inthe world can not be avoided. Energy saving and emission reduction become themainstream of the current sound of automobile industry. In this context, research onthermoelectric generation system is very necessary, TEG absorption of heat of thehigh-temperature exhaust through the thermoelectric module, converted into effectivepower,provide relevant electrical equipment use of vehicle, has the advantages of theeffective recovery of exhaust temperature exhaust gas dissipation energy, therebyindirectly reduces fuel consumption at the same time, but also reduce the pollutionofexhaust emissions. To achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction.The research of this paper is analyzed the domestic and foreign research statusofthermoelectric generation system for a vehicle, and then puts forward the loadthermoelectric generation system on engine performance problems. Based onthevariation of exhaust back pressure considering the effect on engine performance.The engine performance parameter curves by setting different working speed ofengine. And the engine performance curve setting different back pressure at the samespeed.Use GT-Power to set up the working process of the engine model, in differentgas box model, into the engine model for simulation. To view the data in GT-post.And the data of each group made contrast curve obtained by Matlab, the engine power,economy and emission performance contrast curve. the2000rpm, thermoelectricgeneration system has limited effect on engine performance. But at higher speeds, dueto the addition of automotive thermoelectric generation system led to a rapid increasein exhaust back pressure, the engine power, economy and emission deterioration. Inthe gas tank structure optimization, the situation improved, fuel economy andemission power, optimal engine scheme two about5%promotion, effect.Finally, by modeling the automotive thermoelectric generation system, using theCFD analysis of the thermal field, find the gas tank temperature field distribution,there is a close relationship between power efficiency and gas temperature distributionofthermoelectric generation system, hot and cold end temperature differencedetermines the power module efficiency of high and low, and reasonable temperature distributionis helpful to improve the power the efficiency of the heat exchangeefficiency and thethermoelectric power generation system. In this paper, from theperspective of theoptimal back pressure field to establish contact with the backpressure temperature,guarantee to reduce gas tank pressure drop temperature gradientdistribution is reasonable, so as to reduce the influence on engine performance, butalso improves the efficiency of thermoelectric power generation.
