Nowadays the electric power supply reliability to modern ships is higher andhigher. The key to the ships’ safety and reliability of the power network is the shippower system’s stability all the time. As the ship’s electric power system is non-linear,so if we can analyze the deficiency of the PID, in-depth study the Hamilton energyfunction theory and design the single and double ship diesel generator’s controllerthen we can improve the ship power system’s stability. The controller of Hamiltonenergy function theory not only has very clear physical conception,but also has verygood effect to improve stability of the ship power system.The ship power system is independent system and it has very obviouscharacteristic on power supply and load. The electric generator is the only powersupply to the ship. But if the power station is small, the transmission line is short,when join high power load or dynamic load or the electric generator hooked upto the grid will cause certain impact to the stability of the ship power system.We need switch the variety operating mode in order to ensure the operationeconomy of the ship and prolonging the ship’s working life when the ship powersystem in normal operation. It need one or more electric generator hooked up to thegrid when the capacity of a single generator at or more than80%of its rated capacityin order to ensure the security of the operation.The topic is primary research the ship power system whose power supply isdiesel generator set. The design based on the Hamilton energy function adaptivetheory and set up corresponding simulated model of ship power system on the basisof this model we’ll do some tests by switching variety operating mode, such as highpower load, dynamic load, the process of electric generator hooked up to the grid,analysis of the influence of operating mode for power system transient performance.Controllers design according to the different methods, through adjusting the relatedparameters and vehicle to meet requirement.By analysis the change of parameters of each generator in the ship power gridwe can draw a conclusion that the controller which designed based on the Hamilton energy function adaptive theory is more excellent than the PID controller. Thatdeserves further study.
