| Rail transportation is the cab rail traffic control center and the work space for thedriver to obtain information, make decisions and complete other works. Its properergonomic design is a key factor for the safe operation, work efficiency and comfortand health of rail transport drivers. At present, the development of China’s railtransportation is in the leading part over the world, and has mastered some of the coretechnology. However, because rail transport technology is mostly drawn from abroad,the cab ’s various facilities, including the cab seats, console, etc. are in accordancewith the foreign body sizes and a variety of standard design, results that in railtransport human cab driver design does not really meet our requirements. Meanwhile,train control technology has changed considerably with more and more electronicdevices, including displays and controllers. This causes a sharp increase in theamount of information exchange between the operator and the driver. The workloadof driver’s awareness and operating increases in long driving, resulting in physicaland mental fatigue, cognition and affect the driver ’s job performance to the safeoperation of trains and security. This paper studies on China’s rail transit cabergonomics systematically. Main contents and conclusions are as follows:First, combined with our adult body size, appropriate standards and actual casesof rail vehicles, the author did a systematic research on China’s rail transportergonomic cab design which specifically includes the cab environment, work space,driving room seats and console. And then gave some suggestions and data for design,so that design can be adapted to our cab drivers’ operation, ensures comfort andsafety of their operations, accuracy, and provides the basis for domestic rail transportcab HMI design.Secondly, the paper compares cab rail transportation with aircrafts, automobiles,ship analogy cabs, and found similarities and differences between rail and othermodes of transport vehicles. By drawing the advantages of ergonomic design in othermodes of transportation, this paper fulfills ergonomic design of rail transport cab.Thirdly, the development of rail transportation in our country is very rapid, butbecause most of the current study will mainly focus on t, for cab ergonomics researchis very uncommon, is still in the market stage, and, I hope this track in our efforts to make the man-machine engineering design studies cab transport canFinally, although rail transportation in our country develops rapidly, we stillfocus on aspects related with vehicle speed and stability as bogie, power systems, etc.Engineering research on ergonomic design is uncommon and the market is also incultivation, but there are demands for this in business. I wish that the efforts I made inergonomic design in rail transportation can provide a reference for future design andresearch and shorten the design cycle, reduce design costs and promote thedevelopment of rail transportation. |
