In order to meet the needs of Communication Based Train System to be accurate,real-time and reliable, it urgently needs to develop a higher-performance system ofpositioning train. For the above-mentioned reasons, we use some sophisticated sensortechnologies to develop a system of positioning rail train basing on CompassNavigation Satellite System, Radio Frequency IdentificationTechnology and DeadReckoning. This paper studies the background of positioning based on multi-sensors and DataFusion, proposes a structural model for information fusion, and, combining with thecharacteristics of target positioning system, sets up the framework of Data Fusion forthis thesis. And, this paper introduces the characteristics and parameters of each sensor, designs the processes of developing the positioning system and its emergency systemwith the framework of Data Fusion mentioned above, and then moves on tosimulation with Visual Basic6.0for Windows. An important goal of developing the Data Fusion system of the three sensors is toimprove accuracy of the system of positioning rail train. For this reason, this thesisuses means of inference and calculation based on probability theory to focus on thechanges of error and estimations of accuracy in the process of developing thepositioning system. Finally, this paper gives the principles of how to set distancebetween adjacent ground beacons of RFID.In general, the positioning system being simulated in VB and some ideas andresults of the thesis being proven in mathematics improve the rationality, feasibilityand precise of this paper.
