| Stirling refrigerators have attracted many scholars’ research attention because of itsadvantages of relatively compact structure, low vibration, high cooling efficiency, long usetime, low pollution. So Stirling refrigerator can avoid environmental pollution such asgreen house and vacant hole for ozone shells and satisfy special demand ofinfrared detector systems and aerospace. As the most important parts of the Stirlingrefrigerator, the efficiency of regenerator has a very important impact on the machine’srefrigerating performance. Therefore, the study on the flow and heat transfercharacteristics of the regenerator is very necessary。In the first, this thesis studies the flow resistance characteristics of regenerator basedon CFD. Our research object is newly developed regenerator which is filled with axialstainless steel screen matrix and radial parallel stainless steel wire. Simulation of pressuredistribution and velocity distribution on sequence aligned regenerator and cross alignedregenerator were conducted. To evaluate the good or bad performance of newly developed,this thesis make compared the flow characteristics of regenerator filled with mixed matrixwith regenerator filled with single matrix.In the second, this thesis calculates the refrigerating and flow resistanceperformance of Stirling cryocooler under different regenerator structural parameters,operating parameters and matrix parameters. The four main parameters weighting therefrigerating and flow resistance performance are COP, cooling power, PV work at thehot end and average pressure drop. Optimized parameters are gained by considering theabove four parameters totally, which can guide regenerator design in the future.At last, the flow resistance characteristics experiments under steady flow conditionand oscillating flow condition are designed. This thesis introduces experiment form anddetailed plan. |
