The heat exchanger is a kind of equipment for heat exchange and the heat from onemedium to another medium. Application of heat exchanger is very extensive, such asrefrigeration, mechanical, chemical, aerospace and transportation etc.. According to thestructure shape, there are many types of heat exchanger, the shell and tube heatexchanger, heat exchanger, finned tube heat exchanger and the regenerative heatexchanger.Design for fin heat exchanger performance test system of this paper focuses on thestudy of plate fin. The system is consist of air supply system, the test section,temperature control system, measurement system, and the data acquisition andprocessing system components. Select the system of instrument and calculation forprecision instrument, found that the error transfer factor and friction factor are not morethan5%.Use chemical software HYSYS to simulate the heat exchanger of key parameters.Test parameters of the heat exchanger in small water flow and large water flow. Whentesting, thermal equilibrium in the small water flow testing of air side and water side, andthen increase the water flow, the approximate form of constant wall temperaturecondition. Adopt variable properties on air, fitting the physical parameters change withtemperature and pressure type.In the calculation of heat transfer factor and the resistance factor when compared tothe previous the fin efficiency, I adopt the variable fin efficiency, because the finefficiency and the parameters of the heat exchanger. Use Matlab programming toiterative experimental conditions at the time of the fin efficiency.Calculate the total heat transfer coefficient of the heat exchanger efficiency numberof transfer units, the number of heat transfer units with heat capacity ratio and therelationship between the efficiency of heat exchanger type. During the experiment, the air side heat transfer resistance is accounted for most of the total thermal resistance, sothe thermal separation process to the air side heat transfer coefficient is separated fromthe total heat transfer coefficient with high precision.
