Based on the theory of the ergonomics and biomechanics, this paper does therelevant research into the bicycle design methods for customers. Based on thedynamic simulation of human–bicycle coupled model, this paper uses the method ofdata mining to establish the function of best size relationship between human andbicycle, then uses the bike platform to verify the result. Full contents and conclusionsare summarized as follows.(1) A human body model is created using the biomechanical simulation softwareand a bicycle model is created using the three-dimensional software. Ultimatelyhuman body model is coupled with the bicycle model using the dynamic simulationsoftware to simulate the dynamic riding.(2) According to the evaluation of the muscle fatigue proposed by CrownishieldR.D., dynamic simulation data is processed using genetic algorithms based on neuralnetwork in the mathematical software. Ultimately the function of best sizerelationship between human and bicycle is established using the statistical analysissoftware.(3) According to the tester’s height, a bike is processed using the functionformula. Then the tester’s riding data is analyzed. The conclusion confirmed that thefunction formula is correct under that height.(4) In order to prove the general applicability of the function formula, a bikeplatform which is convenient to adjust the position of the saddle and the handlebar isdesigned. Three testers of different height are selected to do the riding experimentunder different position. The experimental data verify that the function formula iscorrect.
