With the rapid development of industrialization, our country is facing more andmore prominent environment problem, especially the dust pollution in the air. Itrequires a lot of factories equipped with ventilation dust systems. But the dust systemstill has many unsolved problems. Pipe dust blocking is one of the significantproblems. It causes difficulties in hydraulic balance for commissioning and operation.In order to overcome these problems, this paper uses tapered pipe as air damper toadjust air volume in dust pipe.In order to obtain the specific parameters of tapered pipes, this paper introducesexperiment and numerical simulation method. The paper quantitatively analyzes theimpact of taper pipe bottom diameter, height and angle on conical damper. It studiedthe impact of each factor on local resistance coefficient using partial correlationanalysis. The result shows the importance of factors for local resistance coefficient isbottom diameter <angle <height, it shows that local resistance coefficient of conicaldamper increases with the height and angle, decreases with bottom diameter. Usingmultiple linear regression method to establish the tapered pipe mathematical modelfor the coefficient of local resistance, it turns out the mathematical model has goodfitting effect.In order to handle the device more easily, it adds damper core which can movealong the axis of tapered pipe to enhance the capacity of adjustment, and then developthe performance characters. It turns out to some extent, damper core route has linearrelationship with ventilation quantity.
