With the development of economy, the improvement of people’s living standard,people more and more high to the requirement of water quality of water supply, forthis new water quality standards began in2007, the new national standard of waterquality detection increased from35to106items. In order to make citizensaccording with the new national standard on drinking water in shenyang, shenyangwater group implemented a water quality standard upgrading project, improve thewater quality in the modified first need to complete detailed analyses of currentsituation of water quality in the city and the main influence factors, and through theestablishment of the shenyang water supply pipe network water quality model,simulates and analyses water-age and residual chlorine, can be realized on thecondition of water quality evaluation, provide technical support for water qualityupgrading standard work.This paper takes shenyang water supply system as the research object. Firstintroduced the network modeling in the early period of the need ing collect data andthe data processing, data processing mainly includes network simplification,network topology data check, networks attribute data check, node flow distribution,data conversion, etc., network data through a series of processing rear can simulatecalculation in pipe network simulation software.Subsequent to the hydraulic modeling theory, explains the relationship betweenthe hydraulic model and water quality model, hydraulic model is the basis of waterquality simulation with the results of hydraulic model of water quality model as itsinput data. Selects the Lagrangian time driving method to solve the water qualitymodel, this paper introduces the definition of water-age, the dynamics of theresidual chlorine decay mechanism.Finally, shenyang water supply system as an example, dynamically simulatesthe24-hour network water age and the change of residual chlorine, and generate thewater age chart and residual chlorine chart, such as the water age and residualchlorine simulation results are analyzed, at the same time compares the residualchlorine calculated value and measured value, the calculation results meet theaccuracy requirement of water quality simulation, and trend correctly, in accordancewith the changing rules of residual chlorine in water supply network, a nd theproblems of water quality improvement measures are puting forward, through thistopic research for network optimization operation and water quality standardupgrading work provides a scientific basis.
