With the rapid development of the national economy, rapid growth of traffic, alarge number of highways need to widen. From the highway expansion project whichhas been completed at home and abroad, one of the main difficulty lies in how to takeappropriate soft ground treatment methods, making the new and old roadbedsettlement coordination, in order to ensure road safety and driving comfort. Relyingon the extension project of Quan-Xia express highway, this paper carries on aresearch on the pile-supported embankment deformation mechanism whichcombination of new and old roadbed in the highway expansion project. And on thisbasis, combined with the concrete realities of Quan-Xia express highway expansionproject, the paper gives the design and Construction of Quan-Xia express highwayexpansion project suggestions.The main work as follows:1. The basic data of based on project is analysed and researched. The geologicalconditions of the based on project is analysed, and the abstract generalization of it ismaked. Meanwhile, based on the geological report, the result of the laboratory test ofsoil and the project experience, the reseach of the physical and mechanical parametersof soils is carried out. And Quan-Xia express highway test sections of the old road,the completion of roadbed and widening project design information are analysed,provide parameters for the follow-up study.2. The research of pile-supported embankment deformation mechanism(1) Using PLAXIS2D software, respectively, study the pile-soil load share ratioof single pile and group pile due to soil arching generated. Analysis the law ofpile-soil load share ratio impactved by factors such as geological conditions,pilelength, pile spacing, pile cap size, fill height, cushion stiffness, reinforced body tensilestrength, shear strength of fill.(2) Discusse the group pile of pile-soil load share ratio through set some typicalcross-section. First identified a number of typical cross-section, and then according to different geological conditions, broadening way, pile arrangement to analysis theirpile-soil load share ratio.(3) Study of force-deformation characteristics of pile-soil from several aspectssuch as the fill, pile body, soil under Caps, Soil between piles.3. In this paper, it gave the broadening project many technical proposals base onthe relevance of the results and conclusions.It proposed advices on the relevant disposal technical of pile-supportedembankment mainly from the embankment piles selection, design features, loadcalculation and load distribution ratio values, checking of pile bearing capacity.Overall, the requirements in engineering practice and the specific projects aroundthe state requirements are different, so the specific projects should be adapted to localconditions to be selected for the integrated treatment of the relevant technical advice.Based on this study, it provide technical information for pile-supportedembankment combine new and old roadbed disposal technologies in the Freewayexpansion project.
