| As a kind of giant towering structure, the ferris wheel structure hasvery complex dynamic response under the wind loading and complexconstruction. The ferris wheel structure should meet not only thedisplacement requirements for high-rise civil structures, but also the needin comfort. So it is necessary to perform nonlinear static analysis, and alsonecessary to do dynamic analysis for the ferris wheel structure.As a very special kind of large-span structure, its mechanics propertyis totally different with the traditional cable and truss structures; itsgeometric nonlinearity is very notable; and the fluctuating wind vibrationis also serious for most cases. First of all, the dynamic sensitivity of thisstructure system under wind loading is particularly serious.From the viewpoint of construction, the ferris wheel structure is relatively high, but theconstraint condition is only on the bottom of the wheel and also very weak.Certainly the torsional vibration mode is significant for this kind ofstructures. As we all know that the bending vibration mode is mainlyconsidered for the traditional structures, and the torsional vibration isignored in common. The overall vibration mode and the local vibrationmode are often combined and intercrossed together, and the frequency ofits self-vibration is very uneven, the low order modes and high order oneshave a significant step phenomenon. There will be relatively large errorwhen using the usual structure to determine the vibration order.In this thesis, firstly the author simulated the fluctuating wind velocityand obtained the response of composite spectrum time history.Secondly,the fluctuating wind time-series was obtained as the input-conditions of theferris wheel structure under the wind loads on the surface of truss and cable. Through the comparison and induction analysis for the computingresults under multiple parameters,the operating safety conditions and somekey design data of the ferris wheel structure were got in detail.The researchwork in this thesis provides some basis for the wind resistant design andhas some certain reference significance meaning for the engineering designand theoretical analysis of this type of wheel structure. |
