The variable cycle engine (VCE) combines advantages of turbojetand turbofan engine, such as large thrust to weight ration, hypersonicspeed, high efficiency, low fuel consumption, large range and so on,provides a new breakthrough in next generation fighter. As a result, it isthe current international research hot spot and a matter of nationalstrategic interests. The variable area bypass injector (VABI), mechanismfor the multistage axial compressor variable vane, axi-symmetricvectoring exhaust nozzle (AVEN) are the critical components for VCE.With the support of China Gas Turbine Establishment, we do someresearch and make some achievment as followings.1) Based on the related literature about variable geometrycomponents in VCE at home and abroad, this paper does technologybreakdown so as to ascertain their key design points and objectives.2) As for the function and structure characteristics of VABI, on thebasis of GFsets theory, this paper researches the intersection rule of1TGFsets, gives the method for structural synthesis of the1T parallelmechanism with some passive limbs and constructs some new-type VABImechanisms.3) As for the function and structure characteristics of mechanismfor the multistage axial compressor variable vane, on the basis of the offour bar linkage, this paper carries out function decomposition formechanism to simplify the design process of the complicated spatialmulti-link mechanism; research the degeneration of the kinematic pair soas to solve the mobility contradiction between combined mechanism andsub-mechanism. 4) As for the function and structure characteristics of AVEN, thispaper researches interaction between translation and rotation for motioncharacteristics of limb end-effectors in parallel robots, proposes the axismovement theorem and two equivalent models. On the basis ofmovement theorem and two equivalent models, this paper researches thetype synthesis of decoupling AVEN and constructs some new-typedecoupling AVEN5) On the basis of the space model and performance atlas, thispaper researches relationship between size scale and mechanism propertyso as to guide the design of variable geometry components...
