High-speed off-road mobility stands for the technical level of main battle tank, andcross-country average speed is one of the major evaluation of the vehicle off-road mobility, improving acceleration and steering performance is the key to increase off-road vehiclesaverage speed. In this paper, in order to improve steering performance targets trackedvehicles, focus on the problem of poor stability in low-speed steering and high risk ofengine flameout in high-speed steering, research of coordinated control based on torqueduring steering process of tracked vehicles is doing in this paper.Firstly,Based on the steering principle of the tracked vehicle, analyzing the kinematicsand kinetics of tracks during the steering process, establishing the dynamics modelconsidering the skip and slip of track. The model starts with the shear stress-sheardisplacement relationship, which reflects the influence on kinetic parameters caused bykinematic parameters more comprehensively.Secondly,Using the idea of object-oriented modeling, establishing the engine modelwhich can reflect the dynamic response in GT-power,establishing the transmission modeland load model in Simulink, checking the model with the experimental data and steeringperformance parameters.Thirdly,in order to find the coordinated control way, based on the steering model, thetypical steering process of low-speed steering and high-speed steering were studied, and theinfluence on the dynamic character of steering cuased by the changes of controlparameter, including accerlation padel, state of torque converter, and gears were studied here. Finally, designging the coordinated control strategy based on torque, realizing thecontrol of engine, torque converter, transmission, variable displacement pump. The simulationturns out that the coordinated control strategy is effective in decreasing the risk of flameoutof engine during steering process, improving the steering dynamic and stable steeringprocess.
