Due to the characteristics of subway tunnel, there are many security issues sincehuman beings began to build subway, the subway fire is the most common accidentswhen the subway runs, it caused a great threat to the safety of people’s lives andproperties. With the increase of the passenger flow and the traffic density, coupled withthe limitation in the design of disaster prevention, fire prevention facilities and otheraspects then. The subway fire safety issues have become increasingly prominent.Once the subway tunnel fires, due to its relatively closed environment, we can onlycontrol the spread of fire and smoke in the tunnel through the reasonable manners ofthe exhaust and the ventilation, so as to provide a safe evacuation environment to thepassengers. For the tunnels with cross-passage,when the fire occurs, How to effectivelyuse the cross-passage between the two interval tunnels to the design of evacuation andsmoke control system,so as to ensure the personnel safety evacuation in subwaytunnel, is worthy of our in-depth research. This paper mainly aims to studying the fire ofthe subway tunnel with one cross-passage. Analyzed the ventilation and evacuationmodel of the subway tunnel fire with one cross-passage. On the basis of summarizingthe domestic and foreign subway tunnel fire ventilation and evacuation model, andestablish the1:10small size subway tunnel similar model experiment according toFroude-number Model. Two kinds of typical fire conditions in subway tunnel withcross-passage were studied by a series of experiments. Experimental measures thevelocity of air supply, exhaust velocity of the cross-passage, temperature distribution of flue gas, and observe the flow pattern of the flue gas.At the same time, using FDS numerical simulation software to establish the modelof the actual size of subway tunnel which corresponding to the small size bench, thedifferent ventilation modes of the subway tunnels which have cross-passages aresimulated. And compared the experimental results and simulation results, prove that ahigher degree of the match simulation and the experiment. This indicates that FDS canbe used for the numerical simulation analysis of subway tunnel fire.
