Reinforced Concrete column and Steel beams composite frame structure is a newstructural system. But in recent years there is few researches on RCS,displacement-based seismic design method has many advantages as a new method. Sothis paper will research on the Seismic Performance of RCS by displacement-basedseismic design.This paper put forward seismic performance level and anti-seismic fortifiedpurpose for RCS by the analysis of researches and rules on performance level ofdomestic and foreign literatures. Based on our research group and foreign researches onthe RCS tests and finite element analysis, get the inter story drift limits on the fourdifferent anti-seismic performance levels.Through the low cycle repeated load test of the reduced scale specimens of2layer2span of RCS composite frame and the proposed dynamic test of a full-scale specimensof the three span three layer RCS composite frame, get the lateral displacement mode ofsmall height RCS frame is shear-type. By the static nonlinear analysis using threecommon loading mode, show that the destruction process of inverted triangle loadingmode is in good agreement with test result and meanwhile further prove the fourPerformance levels and the limit inter-story drift index are reasonable.By direct displacement-based seismic design method, this paper designs a6storiesRCS composite structure and verify the level of performance in each level of seismic.The results show that the inter-layer displacement angle that this paper put forward caneffectively control the seismic performance under different performance levels, and it has some reference value.
