Shear wall structure having good performance in the earthquake is favored byengineering, and it has become preferred structure form in the tall and super-highbuilding structures and has been used widely. Because of the limit of test, we often usesoftware to numerically simulate and analysis the seismic performance and stressdeformation of high-rise shear wall structure. However, in recent years, with the rapiddevelopment and continuous improvement of the structure design and analysis software,it makes people easier to numerically simulate all kinds of structures and simulationresults can more respond to the actual stress state of structure.Based on common structural design and analysis software (SATWE and ETABS), amodel of residential buildings was studied respectively. According to the comparativeanalysis of Shearing force wall internal force, structure period and top displacementobtained by the software, and a comparison between simulation and hand calculationresults, It was claimed that different mechanical models had a certain influence toanalysis results of shear wall structure(or hybrid structure with shear walls),We holdthat In addition to the numerical simulation that the Load response of the structure,ETABS has good performance, and meets the requirements of economic indicators insome extent.Seismic capacity of the buildings will degenerate to some extent due to seismiceffect, the initial defects and durability when working. It has been a key and hot subjectto evaluate the remaining seismic capacity of the buildings in the engineering field. Therate of change of fundamental period working as the variable, the paper created a logarithmic function with high accuracy of recognition, which was used as thecharacterization to show the damage level of the structure, got the disciplines to showhow the properties of seismic wave, the level and location of equal damage and aspectratio influenced the remaining seismic capacity of the structure with the numericalsimulation of a RC shear wall structure by ETABS which is used for FEM analysis, andfinally built a model to evaluate the remaining seismic capacity of RC shear wallstructure.
