The Research Of Wood Joints Of The Song And Jin Dynasty Architecture In Jindongnan District

Chinese ancient wood construction connected components with mortise-tenonstructure. The ancient architecture could be retained till now, in addition to the rationalityof structure, natural conditions and historical reasons, the connecting method ofcomponents plays an important role. Because of the flexibility of wood and a certainextent activity of the mortise-tenon joints, the entire wooden frame has a strong defensecapability in face of earthquakes and other natural damage. However, compared withother studies on wood construction technology, the researches of the mortise-tenon jointsare not comprehensive.This thesis taking advantage of the opportunity of ancient architecture conservationproject, investigated more than20buildings, according to the progress of theconservation project in Changzhi and Jincheng district. And selected five buildings ofthem, make records on wood constructure technology and mortise-tenon. This thesisattempt to enrich the study of mortise-tenon structure and the combination way ofcomponents by the analysis and comparison of the massage. With the data compilationand field investigation, this paper combed the type of mortise-tenon joint and structure,and summarized the using rule of mortise-tenon joint from the perspective ofarchitecture structure, in order to more clear the wooden structure building logic in theregion of southeast Shanxi, and try to explore whether the mortise-tenon joint had agecharacteristics and regional distribution.
