When using miniature circuit breakers, the electromagnetic releases, bimetals,operating mechanisms, contact systems, crusts and so on all withstand stress, during whichthere are even mechanical movements. Operating mechanism is the intermediate link ofvarious driving forces, and the fatigue is the main factor to its operation performance,which indirectly affecting the machine’s breaking performance and mechanical life.Therefore, it is an important significance to simulate and analyze the operating mechanismof MCB and to study the state of stress。In this paper, DZ47-63/1-C1MCB is the researching object.By analyzing its structureand working principle, we set up3D solid model and dynamic simulation model of MCB.Then it needs impose closing force of the handle, the electromagnetic force and overloadtripping force for electric-magnetic-force simulation of miniature circuit breakers, then itcan obtain motion displacement and velocity curve of the contacts, and research the law ofbreaking current to contacts breaking process dynamics.Combined use of PRO/E, ANSYS and ADAMS helped in building a rigid couplingmodel of MBC operating mechanism’s key parts (U-shaped rod and contact bracket). Thestress distribution of U-shaped rod and contact bracket was analyzed when closing forceapplied to the handle and finding the parts of key components’ larger stress.The reliability of the MBC operating mechanism was analyzed and calculated by S-Ncurve and S-P-N curve. Based on the reliability analysis of the stress exerted to theoperating mechanism, the reliability of the static strength was calculated. S-N curve wasdrawn according to the movement of U-shaped rod of operating mechanism, and this wegot reliability of fatigue strength of U-shaped rod depending on the curve, so we can studyand analyze the fatigue of different parts.
