Energy harvesting refers to transforming the energy in equipment or the ambient (suchas vibration energy, solar energy, wind energy, etc.) into electrical energy. Vibration isubiquitous in the environment, and it has more extensive scope of application, comparedwith other method of energy collection. Therefore the development and utilization ofvibration energy has become one of the hot spot researches of the world.This paper mainly studies the energy harvesting technique of vibration energy in waysof piezoelectric and electromagnetic, we designed a vibration energy harvesting device onthis basis, made a real device and experimented on it. The hybrid vibration energyharvesting device combines with advantages of piezoelectric vibration generators andelectromagnetic vibration generators, and it increases the output voltage and the energyconversion rate.This paper focuses on the theory research and simulation analysis of piezoelectric andelectromagnetic energy harvesting technology. In theory, we made an analysis of thepiezoelectric generation principle, the characteristic of different piezoelectric materials, andmade a deep analysis on the electricity performance of the piezoelectric cantilever beam.Besides we made an analysis of the basic principle of the electromagnetic energy harvestingtechnology, the permanent magnet material properties, the mathematical model and thecalculation of the and we brought a new electromagnetic generator with a magnet springstructure and made analysis on the structure.In addition, it analyses the generation theory of the hybrid vibration energy harvestingdevice based on piezoelectric and electromagnetic energy harvesting technology. In thispaper, we made a single piezoelectric generator, a single electromagnetic generator and anew hybrid energy harvesting device, in the experimental, we studied the output voltage ofdifferent generators with different vibration conditions. From the experiment data, we getthe natural frequency of the generators. It shows that the hybrid vibration energy capturedevice improves the output voltage and the energy conversion efficiency of the wholedevice effectively.
