The contactor is an important electrical component in the inverter control module,which mainly used for switching a buffer resistor and switching on and off the main circuit.The contactor can be divided into air and vacuum type.vacuum contactor has manyadvantages, so vacuum contactor is gradually replacing air contactor in many occasions.The traditional design method of contactor mainly considers products, and repeatedexperiments are needed to achieve the purpose of product improvement. Development timeis long, cost is high, and it is difficult to achieve the goals of desired product properties andelectrical life. The electromagnetic mechanism is one of important factors which influencethe vacuum contactor performance, mechanical life and electrical life. Therefore, it hasimportant theoretical and practical significance to study and optimize the vacuum contactorelectromagnetic mechanism based on finite element.This thesis bases on the model of the JCZ5-630A/12KV type vacuum contactor. Andthe static and dynamic analysis on electromagnetic mechanism of vacuum contactor wascarried on. We need to determine the key factor affecting the dynamic characteristics, andto optimize the design of electromagnetic mechanism to improve the service life of thecontactor.The main contents are as follows:1) The3D model of electromagnetic mechanism was established by using PRO/Esoftware, and the three-dimensional was imported into ANSYS through the technology ofseamless connection. Then it is necessary to analyze static characteristics for gettingelectromagnetic suction table in different air gap and current.2) Dynamic analysis of the electromagnetic mechanism was analyzed and the currentcharacteristics were got under different closing phase angel. The relationship betweenpulling speed and closing phase angle under different voltages was studies. As well as thedynamic coordination characteristics was studies between suction and reaction in a phase.3) The orthogonal experimental design method was used, including seven variablefactors:the core radius, inner coil turns, external coil turns,armature depth, yoke thickness,main spring stiffness coefficients, and pre load was a the parameters. It is the key to seekthe optimal combination in order to get the goal of optimizing pulling speed, releasing rateof vacuum contactor, and determine the key factors affecting the dynamic characteristics.4) The uniform design method was adopted and further optimization was conductedbasing on orthogonal test to identify the key factors in the specified range. The changes ofpulling speed and releasing speed have been compared before and after optimization.
