Terahertz instrumentation product development is foucsd by majority of foreign manufacturers.Therefore,Developing and manufacturing terahertz spectral instrument with independent intellectual property rights is of great significance.Practical, miniaturization, high performance is now terahertz instrumentation development direction and trends.In this paper,based on the existing laboratory terahertz time-domain spectroscopy system, wth miniaturization, practical guidance as the direction,The laboratory system device has been modified. Simultaneously,combineing with the user’s direction,based on exploreing the terahertz interaction with water, using terahertz wave detedct Chinese medicine water content. The main content includes the following3aspects.1.Introducing some import terahertz instrument of the foreign manufacturers, as the Picometrix Co, the Teraview Co et al, for guiding these designs being better.2.Taking advantage of mechanical design and industrial modeling knowledge, develoing the instrument’s shape of Upper and lower layer.Upper for placing the terahertz optical path portion,Lower for the placement of electrical equipment electrical layer,.Electrical layer portion of the discrete components of the system centrally located,Making the system more compact,While leaving adequate space for users to freely use.Optical layer is more consideration of the seality of the instrument.For terahertz need for a strong drying space,the instrument is designed for multiple seals, making terahertz optical transmission path in a confined environment.3.In view of the design of terahertz time-domain spectroscopy main application is measuring the water content of traditional Chinese medicine,Mainly studied the interaction of terahertz waves and water.By experiment,verify that the water vapor has obvious absorption for terahertz.Based on this,On the moisture content of different pills and extract samples for terahertz detection,by experiment,getting corresponding conclusions.Proving that THz can effectively distinguish different water content in medicine product.
