With the support and guidance of the country,400MPa steel is becoming moreand more widely used, while there are some problems for promoting the500MPasteelThis article mainly researches on the economy and security of the500MPa steelused in the frame structure and the frame-shearwall structure. Based on one project, the standard frame structures are made while changing the height, the seismicprecautionary intensity and the sites, the500MPa steel economy analysis is made forthese frame structures. The500MPa steel economy analysis is made for sixframe-shear wall structures. The elasto-plastic inter-story analysis is also made fortwo projects. Category could be provided for the structure in the same seismicpecationgary intensity and site. The analysis illustrates that, in the article that the frame structure can save steelamount7%~10%, for the carring steel can save more than13%; among theframe-shearwall structure, the beams can save8%for the carring steel, the columnscould save5%, while the walls could save9%for the decentralized of the wall, at thesame time, the distribution of the wall is small, under the circumstance the seismicprecautionary intensity of7degree, design basic acceleration of ground motion of0.15g, the seismic precautionary intensity reaching the8degree, and the design basicacceleration of ground motion of0.20g, the â…¢or â…£ site. The frame structure andframe-shearwall structure using the500MPa steel could meet the specificationrequirements of the interlayer displacement ande the deformation of the unusualearthquake, in satisfies the requirement of axial compression ratio and thedeformation under the general seismic.
