The high frequency hydraulic vibratory hammer which is rapid development inthe20th century is a new type of pile-driving machine. It is a environment protectionand high-efficiency construction machinery, the technology of which is very mature inmany developed countries such as Germany, the United States, Netherlands and so on.The high frequency hydraulic vibratory hammer has many advantages, includinglittle ibration, small noise, no pollution, light weight, high power, strong penetratingpower and wide range of application. it has been widely used in high-speed railway, wharf engineering, foundation pit support and other engineering construction fields. The Benoto pile, which is a new kind of cast-in-place pile, adopt special constructiontechnique of installation. It has good environmental protection and good quality ofpore-forming and piling, but the constrction machinery is expensive and the require-ments for the construction process is high and it has not been widely popularized. Thispaper analysis on the driven sleeve of the Benote pile using on high frequencyhammer. PLAXIS software was used to simulate the sleeve with high frequencydriving, and to study the soil properties after driving the sleeve. It can providetheoretical basis and calculation method for the sleeve of large diameter Benoto pilewith high frequency driving, and to promote the practical application of the highfrequency hydraulic vibratory hammer and the large diameter Benoto pile. The maincontent of this paper are,Firstly, the fundamental principles, composition and characteristics of thegeotechnical engineering element software PLAXIS are introduced in detail. Then itelaborated the Hardening soil model using on the paper and the yield surface of themodel, also summarized the characteristics of the parameters in the model and relateddefinition of the PLAXIS software.Secondly, the PLAXIS software was used to simulate the sleeve with highfrequency driving, the soil was simulate using the HS model. The effect of the excesspore pressure was considered in the process of the sleeve driving. It analysis on the interaction between sleeve and soil in the process of the large diameter sleeve driving, the soil deformation, the distribution of excess pore water pressure and the effect tothe surrounding environment after driving. Through changing the parameters of thevibratory hammer and the soil, discussed the influence of the sleeve driving by theparameters.Thirdly, analysis on the soil plugging effect, summurized the research status ofthe soil plugging effect, the theoretical methods for soil plugging assessment. Theeffect of the soil plug height and the soil properites was analyzed through changingthe soil properties, the diameter of the sleeve, the parameters of the vibratory hammerand the other factors.Furthermore, the behaviour of dissipation of the escess pore pressure was investi-gated after sleeve driving. Analytical solution was used to anlyse the properties of theconsolidation. Finally, the paper summarized the primary conclusions, as well as pointed out theshort coming of the study and the future work.
