EPU200is designed to produce radiation with low on-axis power density in SSRFfor experiment requirements of users. EPU200is the first exotic permanent magnetundulator which has8rows of magnetic blocks and can produce different kinds ofpolarized radiation with low on-axis power density. The magnetic structure is installedon4aluminum beams, so there are2magnetic blocks which are installed in one magnetkeeper. The arrangement of the magnetic blocks is complex, so there are variousmagnetic forces on the magnets. And the space between the magnetic blocks is small.So the mechanical structure and installation of the magnetic structure are complicated.However the magnetic structure has a great influence on the quality of undulator. So itis necessary to study on the magnetic structure.This paper will introduce the development of Synchrotron Radiation and themagnet structure of undulators, development status of the undulators with low on-axispower density and the background of EPU200at first. Then some common methods ofmechanical analysis, the principle of FEA and the ANSYS Workbench will beintroduced. The next chapter will describe the magnet structure and mechanicalstructure of EPU200. Introduce the RADIA program and calculate the max magnetforces on magnets in different situations in fourth chapter. Then mechanical analysisand computation will be developed on the magnet structure to ensure the feasibility ofthis structure. At last, the machining and installation of a simple can confirm thereliability.The results of mechanical analysis of magnetic structure and the install of testpieces showed the feasibility and stability of the structure, and provide the basis for theprocessing of EPU200magnetic structure installation. It has strong practical value andengineering significance.
