In this paper, the object of study is a inner-stiffener concrete-filled steeltubular(CFT) column base which came from Jiangsu Changzhou RunHua GlobalCenter. When the steel pipe is large, Plate stiffeners are welded inside of steel pipe.This form of structure is the innovation of the new column joint. This new column basedoes not only speed up the construction on time but also save construction area in thebuilding. And this new column base uses anchor bolts link the support plate, platestiffeners and base plate as a whole part, significantly increases the flexural stiffnessand ultimate capacity. At the same time this new type column base can distribute loadmore uniformly and avoid stress concentration occur at the junction of the steel pipeand the base plate,this new type column base has good mechanical performance.Using ABAQUS which is a finite element program to analysis the mechanicalperformance of the new type column base; Basing on the design methods of columnbase that the base plate is rectangular, to deduce calculation formulas that are suit forcircular plate column base. The main works are listed as follows:1. To obtain the mechanical performance of inner-stiffener column base whichwas under bending, axial loading and repeated low cycle loading. The full size modelwas built by ABAQUS. Using a series of result to study the ultimate capacity, rigidity,ductility, hysteretic behavior and mechanism,The results show that this new typecolumn base.2. The calculation formulas were given by using quadrature of the compressiveconcrete, force balance, deformation coordination of anchor and concrete. And threecalculation formulas were drawn, including resultant force of anchor bolts, length of compressive concrete, maximum compressive stress of compressive concrete. Andthese three calculation formulas are used to design if the base plate is circular.
