With the development of society, the continuous improvement of living standards, the original general frame structure and shear wall structure of beam leakage column, can not meet the requirements of the people. Thus, a new residential system, short-legshear wall structure appeared. This structure layout flexibility, cost savings, widely usedin multistory and high-rise in China, shows broad prospects. However, the theoreticalstudy has lagged far behind its engineering practice, to a certain extent restricts itsdevelopment. This essay mainly investigates the methods and the carrying capacity ofthe short-leg shear wall through theoretical calculations and finite element softwaresimulation. The main contents included are stated in the following paragraphs.First, Overall about the emergence of short-leg shear wall components and thestructure, the research background and the present situation of short-leg shearwall, proposed the problems of short-leg shear wall reinforcement in the PKPM andshort-leg shear wall regulations unreasonable places in the high gauge, thus discussedthe main research content in this paper.Second, to reinforced concrete short-leg shear wall structure, using PKPMsoftware set up two models according to the wall and column respectively, to the overallanalysis, and then focuses on T-shaped and L-shaped short-leg shear wall to analyze thestress of the concrete; On this basis, by using the finite element software ANSYS toestablish the entity unit model to analyze stress components, to comparative analysis theresults of modeling according to the wall and column respectively.Third, discussion of reinforcement of short-leg shear wall. Through the theoreticalcalculation shows that the use of PKPM program of short pier shear wall reinforcementdesign problems,on this basis, the T-shaped short-leg shear wall as a whole to hand to calculate reinforcement, and compared with the program, for design reference.
