Gear box is a fixed transmission ratio, large transmission torque and compact structure of the transmission equipment, in the transmission parts is widely used to change and the power transmission, in the machinery and equipment, it is very important but also very easy to produce the part of the fault, its running state directlydecides the whole equipment can operate normally. So it is very important for thegearbox to monitor and diagnose the fault..Gear box fault simulation testbed to according to set fault operation to exhibit abnormal characteristics, so as to extract abnormal signal samples, so that researchers can easily verify the research on fault diagnosis method, and provide a theoretical support for the fault diagnosis of the gear box.In this paper, laboratory gear box fault diagnosis experiment platform as the research object, the following points are introduced and studied:(1) the characteristics of the fault feature extraction of the gearbox were introduced in the paper.. The time, frequency domain analysis theory, and then analyze thecollected experimental data, obtain the corresponding fault feature.(2) for the bearing vibration signals of a gearbox proposed concept of information entropy, by the similarity between the reconstructed signal compared to the original signal and using different wavelet for signal analysis, the greater the information entropy is the analysis the better, so as to select the most appropriate wavelet basis function and decomposition layers, followed by the introduction of the decomposition of the signal energy feature extraction method based on wavelet packet.(3) for laboratory gear box fault experiment station can only of single gear a fault were observed and the failure of a single feature, using SolidWorks modeling,proposed a new gearbox fault simulation test bench design concept, the design fault is convenient to replace, set up their own fault degree, and to achieve a varietyof fault coupling effect.Time domain analysis method mainly adopts the method of characteristic parameters and the characteristic parameters are generally mean, variance and mean varianc e, kurtosis index, margin index. The frequency domain analysis includes the spectrum analysis, the spectrum analysis and the spectrum analysis.. Time domain and frequency domain analysis can directly provide the fault characteristics of the gear box, for some simple gear box fault effect is obvious, but it is difficult to take intoaccount the time-frequency information, with great limitations, so in the actual work, many faults are difficult to detect. Emerge as the times require the kind of time-frequency analysis method. Wavelet analysis is a kind of excellent time-frequencyanalysis method, can adjust the time domain, frequency domain resolution. So, it isvery adept at dealing with non stationary signals.
