Power is recognized as the most clean secondary energy sources since it was foundand applied more than one hundred years ago. Power is closely related to thedevelopment of the national economy. Now the power consumption of a country hasbeen as an important index of evaluating a country’s economic strength. In order tosolve the contradiction between the growing demand and shortage, the contradictionbetween the using and environmental protection, many countries put more attention onthe research work of the field of distributed generation. The distributed generationdepended on new energy exist uncontrollability and unpredictability. The universities inthe United States put forward the concept of micro power grid to improve the problemon2011. Many distributed generator’ ability of adjust is weak and achieve powerbalance hardly because of the intermittent and randomness.This situation required theintroduction of energy storage system in the micro grid. More scientific researchinstitution stay in the theoretical analysis on the study of energy storage system as aresult of the limitation of experimental conditions. This paper developed a set of microgrid energy storage system can be executed in the laboratory experiment platform.In recent years, the rapid development of various energy storage technologyprovides an effective way to solve this problem. The storage device relied on battery hasbeen widely applied in the micro grid energy storage systems and technology because ofits technology, economics, safety and reliability.Take the Valve Regulated Lead battery as the research object, take dual modeconverter as the PCS, a micro grid energy storage system experimental platform is setup. The experimental platform contains the necessary part. S7-1500PLC is acted asupper management system. The main work done as follows:(1)Study energy storage device’ important role in micro grid and analyze presenttechnical problems.(2)Introduce the overall design of experiment platform, the choice of mainhardware and design of electrical part.Decide the method of researching, that istheoretical analysis, simulation study, actual test on the experimental platform finally. (3)Analyze respective characteristics of various models of battery, introduce theiradvantage and shortcoming. Thevenin model suitable for short-term discharge modeland third order dynamic model suitable for long-term discharge are put forward. Thesimulation analysis related is carried on.(4)The mathematical equation is obtained after analysis the topology of thecommon voltage type double mode inverter in micro grid storage system. Study thecommon principle of constant power control and the constant voltage constantfrequency control, and set up a simulation model to test the program.(5)Analyze the characteristics of master-slave control mode on the micro gridsystem and its control strategy, and set up a simulation model.(6)Introduce the construction of the energy storage system, the writing of the PLCprogram to validate previous analysis theory. Analyze the control logic of energymanagement and writing PLC program to make the experiment platform can simulatevarious micro power grid operation states and verifying the role of energy storagesystem.
