There is the problem in high wideningproject of soft soil foundation that new and oldembankment have differential settlement.And thisproblem has become an important issuein the reconstruction projectof the highway.Thedomestic and foreignengineering technicalpersonnel have conducted a large number of engineering practice,to solve the negativeinfluence of the differential settlement in engineering.Scholars have some value experiencein the completed wideningengineering,but they have less related theoretical results and nosystematicspecification.Sothe researchers needtofurther research.In this passage,the author make system research of the settlement characteristics ofnew and old embankment,it exampled by a certainexpressway wideningengineering of thenorth as the background,from the practical problems on soft soil foundation,and usenumerical simulation methodbasedonABAQUS.The maincontentsare as follows:1.The passage introduces the basic situation of the finite element method andABAQUS,establishes the finite element model of subgrade widening,and analysis thesettlement of subgrade,the additional stress and pore pressure deformation withouttreatment measures.The result shows that the additional settlementcause uneven settlementdeformation,because new subgrade in old subgrade;at the top of the subgrade,the directionof vertical settlement is from the road center to scoop type distribute on both sides alongsubgrade cross-section;themaximumhorizontal displacement of the new subgrade is in thecentroidposition;additional shear stress concentratedappeared in thefill of new subgrade.2.The model of cement mixing pile composite foundation is set up,analyzes theinfluence of different parameters of the filled soil and pile of embankment settlementdeformation.Results show that the deformation of subgrade situation will change with thedesign parameter of the filled soil and pile, pile foundation and embankment fill have acrucial impact on the stability of subgrade, so choose effective process parameters to themost effectivecontrolof subgrade deformation.3.This passage expound pipe pile mechanism,and analyzes the influence of the PTCtubular pile composite foundation of embankmentsettlement deformation.Theresults showthat PTC tubular pile composite foundation treatment increase the overall stiffness of softsoil subgrade,it makes thewhole deformation in deep foundation.In the interaction of pilesand soil,asynchronous play within the PTCtubular pile lateral frictionresistance,and pilesoil core wall betweenlarger friction resistance, makes the soil core and pileswall sink, thepileis similarto thedestruction of thesilent pileform.
