With the development of society, mainly traditional and non-renewable energy resources have been gradually exhausted, environmental pollution is becoming to terrible state, especially after the 1970 s oil crisis, United States, Japan, Germany and other developed countries regard clean renewable solar energy as the primacy source in the future. The solar cell is a device which directly converts solar energy into electrical energy, it is one of most promising projects in the development of new energy. the organic solar cell is the most promising one type of batteries based on the photovoltaic effect. In this paper, several fullerene derivatives are designed and prepared as acceptors of the cell.First of all, considering the solubility of the acceptor in common organic solvents, synthesis of a symmetric fullerene(C60) derivative was prepared. Utilizing the p-methoxy benzyl alcohol and trimethylsilyl chloride as starting material, a intermediate of siloxane was synthesized, subsequently symmetrical malonic acid diester was synthesize by the reaction of Meldrum’s acid with siloxane under solvent-free conditions, finally symmetric fullerene derivative was obtained through Bingel reaction of C60, its structure and photoelectric properties have been characterized.Secondly, in order to improve the solubility, fullerene derivative with long carbon chain was designed and prepared. the hydroquinone and bromooctane were used as a starting materials for the preparation of intermediate of octoxyl phenol, then reacted with Meldrum’s acid,a malonic acid mono ester was obtained, further an asymmetric malonic acid di-ester was prepared through the esterification of dodecanol with malonic acid mono ester, finally, target compound of fullerene(C60) derivative with long carbon chain was prepared by Bingel reaction, its structure and optoelectronic properties were completely characterized. Finally, investigations about synthesis of fullerenes(C60) derivatives modified with silicon have been attempted, two fullerene derivatives with different substituents were prepared. The prepared malonic acid mono alkoxyl phenol ester was reacted with tert-butyldiphenylsilyl chloride, triisopropylsilyl chlorosilane, two asymmetric malonic acid disilcon-ester were synthesized, and then were reacted with the fullerene(C60) by Bingel reaction, the fullerene derivatives containing silyl group were prepared, test on the dissolubility indicates good solubility in ordinary organic solvents, its yield has improved greatly relative to the former yield, structural and optoelectronic properties are also fully characterized.
