Study On The Landscape Design Of Indoor-garden Of Residential Building

With the rapid development of urbanization, many problems have come out such as the insufficient construction land, decrease of greening land, relatively large construction density as well as the disorder of construction layouts etc, which resulted in the deterioration of the urban ecological environment and landscape environment. However, the emergence of indoor-garden brings a ray of colorful light to the city buildings made of reinforced concrete,based on it, new greening space is expanded and landscape environment is improved, new leisure and activity sites are provided and the living environment is improved as well.Consequently, indoor-gardens are widely popularized all over the country, and the establishment of indoor-garden in various types in newly built buildings has turned to be an trend towards the development of modern construction. As a new type of greening space for urban residences, indoor-garden is booming with various types, while successful cases about them are rare owing to the fact that the researches upon indoor-gardens are just in its early stage and comparatively comprehensive theories used to guide practice are also not available.This article summarized relevant theories of indoor gardens, and then gave a systematic introduction about its inevitability, functions, development and evolution, and classification,and design principles of indoor-garden were also put forward in this thesis. By the investigation analysis of the current status of indoor-garden in Shandong Province including its types, correlated factors between nature and engineering,layout of space, auxiliary facilities, later-stage management and use,, the relationship between space and greening plant, plant allocation, as well as use of indoor-garden, the paper pointed out the main problems existing in the construction of indoor-gardens in residential buildings, for example,irrelevant use, disharmony between its design and living space design, maladjustment of plant selection and landscape sketch to space characteristics, and difficulties in terms of its use,maintenance and management. According to the principle of raising awareness of its scientific arrangement, focusing on highlight and theme, scientifically selecting plants, emphasizing humanization design, corresponding countermeasures and improvement Suggestions arepresented in our paper.Finally, taking Mountain Fold Garden Residential indoor- gardens landscape design in Tai ’an City as an example, this paper carried out corresponding case study based on the research results obtained.
