| Nowdays, the shortage of energy and environmental pollution have become a worldwide question. The applications of energy-saving and environmental protection technology have become the key points in various fields. In the field of HVAC system, the temperature of outlet-air is far below the required temperature of ASHRAE because of the low temperature of chilled water in the cooling coil(CC).To be more comfortable, the outlet-air must be reheat, this causes the energy waste.In this paper, firstly,theoretical calculation is carried out to demonstrate the feasibility of CC with higher temperature of chilled water. Secondly,the dehumidification performance of CC is simulated by mixture model in Fluent.The impact factors: fin height, fin thickness,fin pitch, the velocity of air and the temperature of cold wall are considered in the study of dehumidification efficiency.The recommended values are presented: the fin height should be 18 mm, the fin pitch should be 2.2mm,the fin thickness should be no more than0.15 mm and the velocity of air should be 1.5m/s~1.9m/s. According to the exergy efficiency, CC with higher temperature is more energy-efficient than that with lower temperature,with the values of18%~31%, while the lower is about 3%. |
