| After the homogeneity in growing volumes, the fierce competition of commercial real estate makes theme a new focus of developers, themed commercial real estate such as tourism real estate, physical property, film and television estate, cultural property arise at the moment. Among them, the development of city commercial district cultural is most favored. Urban cultural type commercial district is a fusion of the traditional historical culture and modern civilization, not only embodies the local geographical and cultural tradition but also shows the modern lifestyle. Current world such as Wuhan Tiandi, Shanghai Xintiandi, Chengdu kuanzhai alley, Nanjing 1912 and other commercial districts, have become the business card of urban commercial culture and the modern urban operations punchline. Therefore, the study of this new type of city commercial district, at the same time combines with the author involved in the practice of project as the research support, combined with the related projects of author participated in as research support, its meaning is self-evident.This paper reviews related researches both of home and abroad, and analyzed with a series of successful cases, summarized the problems and basic principles of the development and design of urban culture type commercial district have to face and follow, put forward the theoretical basis for the practice of the planning and design methods, provide theoretical and practical basis for future planning and design of this type of commercial district. Preface introduces the research background and elaborate the related concepts, summarizes the current domestic and foreign researches and collates researches of related cases. The second chapter analyzes the characteristics and trend of cultural commercial districts development, discusses the key points of commercial real estate development from cultural experience, business orientation, business format and operation pattern these four aspects. The third chapter is the main subject of the thesis, based on the case summary, analyzed the spatial pattern of the commercial district, the mode and built of business fixed-line, street space, scale and experience elements of single building elements. The fourth chapter comprehensive analyzes Wuhan Tiandi and Chengdu kuanzhai alley, discusses the inherent factors of its success from three aspects:cultural experiences, business models and planning design.
