With the rapid development of the national economy in recent years, the deep-lying long tunnels are gradually increased in China. The ventilation of extra-long highway tunnel has become a key factor in the extra-long tunnel operation and management. Based on the project of Shanxi Communications Department of Science and Technology, "Research on Extra Long Highway Tunnel Construction auxiliary channel settings and main technology" in this paper, choosing Yunshan shaft tunnel#1,#3 inclined, Baotashan tunnel underground fan room as the reasearch objects, using survey analysis and numerical simulation methods, a reasonable setting of auxiliary channels, the disaster prevention and rescue of underground fan room are studied in this paper, the main results are as follows:1. Based on the investigation of cases histories which went through fire, the causes, characteristics and hazards of fire has been analysed, also theoretically got methods of calculation of the temperature of fire and the concentration of fire smoke flow.2. On the basis of fan room structure underground the pagoda mountain, numerical simulation software named Building Exodus and FDS, the paper established a three-dimensional model of wind room.fire situations and evacuation of personnel are simulated under different conditions respectively, the underground tunnel fan room fire situation and escape parameters are given as parameters.and we proposed that the disaster prevention design of wind room should be build upon a standard:available escaping time should be bigger than basic escaping time,which provides a reference for the prevention of similar design of wind room.3. According to the structure form and the setting way of Yunshan tunnel inclined shaft, using CFD (fluid dynamics) theory, FLUENT simulation software, the ventilation cases with different angles of slope are simulated, furthermore, the ventilation energy consumption are calculated by the Bernoulli equation and the energy equation.4. For extra long tunnel, the rapid construction of main tunnel benefit from these increased working faces by means of the inclined shafts intersection structure with small angle. During operation stages of extra long highway tunnels, condering newly-built with more large angle of inclined shaft in place of the ventilation channel with small angle, and using flat heading holes as a method of setting the new pilot, which is used as escape and rescue channel, he feasibility of the method are finally analyzed.
