The suspended monorail is a new kind of passenger rail transportation system, which can solve the traffic jam problems in small and medium city. It has the advantages of low cost, short construction period, fast route planning, only occupy over space of city roads, safety and comfortable. In recent years, it has raised wide public concern in China.This article introduces the development situation of suspended monorail in the world from the point of bogie technology. According to the actual traffic demand of small and medium cities in China, the SAFEGE type of monorail bogie in chiba of Japan is selected as the object of study. Based on the analysis of the basic composition of bogie, this paper establishes the three-dimensional model of bogie by using the CATIA software, and designs the driving device. This paper simplifies the suspended monorail vehicle to get the topology configuration, and builds the dynamic simulation model of vehicle by using ADAMS software. Based on the structure characteristics of vehicle, this article raises several dynamic evaluation index for suspended monorail vehicle by referring to the dynamic evaluation index in GB 5599-1985, and optimizes the vehicle suspension parameters. On this basis, this paper studies the effects of crosswind on suspended monorail vehicle. On the basis of designing structure scheme of bogie for suspended monorail and studying dynamic performance of vehicle, this paper get the following conclusions:1. The driving device adopts a gear box with a differential mechanical in the monorail bogie, which can help the vehicle through the curve line of small radius. The driving and driven bevel gear in the main reducer meets the requirements of the tooth surface and root strength.2. According to the proposed evaluation index of dynamics for suspended monorail vehicle, this paper optimizes the vehicle’ suspension parameters, and forecasts the dynamic performance of the suspension monorail vehicle by using the optimized parameters. The results show that:in the empty and full-load conditions, and when vehicle go through the straight or curved track, the dynamic performance indexes meet the design requirements, which means the vehicle exhibits good dynamic performance.3.The crosswind greater impacts the dynamic performances of suspended monorail vehicle, specifically:when the vehicle drives in speed of 80km/h in straight track, and the speed of crosswind is less than 35m/s(which equals to 12 level wind power),the empty and full-load vehicle can run safely. But when the vehicle drives in speed of 52.8km/h in curved track, the empty vehicles can safely drive under the speed of 25m/s(which equals to 10 level wind power) wind environment; full-load vehicles can safely drive under the speed of 15m/s(which equals to 7 level wind power) wind environment.4. Study on the speed limit of vehicle going through the curve in constant crosswind environment, this paper suggests that:when the wind speed is greater than 25m/s, requires all vehicles to stop driving; when the wind speed is in the range of 15 to 25m/s, vehicles should drive below 40km/h, or stop driving according to the specific situation; when the wind speed is less than 15m/s, all vehicles can normally run.
