The problems existed in the electrified railway power supply system such as harmonics,reactive power,negative sequence,the presence of the electricity sub-phase device between adjacent power supply sections results in the low speed of train and breaking continually of the main circuit breaker.As a result,it will affect the safe operation of the traction main circuit. These problem can be solved satisfactorily by using new type co-phase power supply converter to realize co-phase power supply of train. Comparing with existing co-phase power supply converter,a transformer can be omitted by using MMC co-phase power supply converter,and also,system efficiency will be enhanced,volume of the device will be decreased and the cost will be reduced.The present paper applies modular multilevel converter technology to co-phase power supply converter,and researches onrelevant key technology.Research on single phase MMC.The present paper analyses and compares the type and relative merits of traditional multilevel.it discusses topological structure and working principle of single phase MMC in detail,builds mathematical model of MMC and stabilizes the voltage of DC bus by using carrier phase shifted PWM modulation strategy and DC capacitor voltage sharing control strategy of sub-module to ensure MMC proper functioning.Research on MMC co-phase power supply converter.This paper analyses the basic structure and working principle of co-phase traction power supply system,and on this basis utilizes MMC structure in integrated power flow compensator(IPFC) by innovation,and introduces corresponding detecting algorithm of directive current.Designing and simulating 5MVA co-phase power supply converter.Conducting parameter calculation and type selection of the main circuit device of the converter.Building a model on MATLAB/simulink platform to do simulation experiment under different working condition. In the end,designing a Client-server control system structure of MMC combined with co-phase power supply.By doing simulation experiment on MATLAB/simulink platform to verify the validity of CPS-SPWM modulation and control strategy of voltage stability of sub-module.The co-phase power supply converter based on MMC can transfer active power,compensate reactive power and restrain harmonics in order to reach the purpose of harnessing power quality of power supply for electrified railway synthetically.
