Urban green river corridors as a special type of greenways, played important role of’ecology, commanding and systematic’in the construction of urban and rural ecological networks, and gradually became the effective measures that the decision-makers and urban planners used to build urban ecological networks, to control urban river pollution, to reconstruct urban waterfront and to meet people’s growing needs of spiritual pursuit. In highly urbanized areas, road network access, convenient transportation make urban residents easier to reach urban green river corridors, but high connectivity of the road network lead to ’fragmentation-barrier’ effect of urban ecology landscape. The phenomenon of "High accessibility low connectivity" is common, how to solve the’coordinated development of accessibility and ecological connectivity’ problem of urban green river corridors become the main content of this study, exploring scientific and rational relevance analysis methods of urban green river corridors’ accessibility and ecological connectivity and proposing the development strategy are the only way to achieve sustainable development of urban green river corridors. In this paper, based on the theory of landscape ecology, urban planning and river ecology, as an example of Shanghai Soozhow Creek, we discussed the coordinated development strategy of residents’ accessibility and ecological connectivity. This paper divided into three parts. The first part is the study of spatial accessibility of Soozhow Creek green corridor. From the perspective of physical facilities, the accessibility will be broken down into three levels. The first level is the spatial accessibility between green river corridor and residential distribution, distance as the accessibility index. Secondly, from the green river corridors’ supporting infrastructure point of view, we consider walking, bus and private cars as traffic accessibility factors. Third, Use of space syntax theory, considering the links between the street network structure and Soozhow River corridors, we come up to the distribution status of street network structure’s accessibility level. Fourth, based on the accessibility analysis, combined with the Soozhow Creek green corridor internal path and field research, we divide up the Soozhow Creek green corridors’ rating. Finally, combining with multiple functional requirements, the paper put forward some suggestions for the development of Soozhow Creek green corridor. The second part is the ecological connectivity study of Soozhow Creek green corridor. First, based on the theory of landscape ecology and river ecology, combining characteristics of the current urban green river corridors’ecological connectivity, we determine the factor of urban river green corridors’ecology connectivity; Secondly, build an reasonable evaluation system of urban river green corridors’ecological connectivity, determine the indicators’weight by the Analytic Hierarchy Process, determine evaluation criteria and calculation methods by the literature and field research; and Finally, through the analysis of the evaluation results of Soozhow Creek green corridor ecological connectivity, the paper proposed the characteristics subdivision and development strategy of the Soozhow Creek green corridor ecological connectivity. The third part is the strategic research of coordinated development of Soozhow Creek green corridor ecological connectivity. Using graphical methods, questionnaires and other research methods, analyse the problems and key factors of coordinating Soozhow Creek green corridor residents’accessibility and ecological connectivity. Finally, we proposed the coordinated development strategy.Empirical studies show that: ①within the scope of the study area, more than 80% of the residents have a good accessibility, the distance to Soozhow Creek is less than 1000 meters. Urban transport accessibility and road network integration is significantly higher than the suburbs and the area of’good’walking and public transportation is over 70%. Road network consisting of Beijing and Tibet Road is the highest integration. Combined with multi-functional requirements, construction and development strategy of Soozhow Creek green corridor:from the whole perspective of Soozhow Creek, coordinated planning residents accessibility; improving transport infrastructure layout; strengthen the links between Soozhow Creek green corridor and the surrounding commercial centers and other large recreation.②The level of Soozhow Creek green corridor’ecology’is general and the level of connectivity is poor, so, the overall level of ecological connectivity is general. On the level of distribution space, Soozhow Creek green corridor ecological connectivity there have significant differences in the Soozhow Creek green corridor and the surrounding region, between urban and rural areas. The lowest level of ecological connectivity is mainly in urban areas and urban-rural fringe areas, the general level is in the suburbs, and a good level mainly located in the Soozhow Creek green corridor to the inner boundary of the City. From the perspective of the coordinated development of Soozhow Creek green corridor connectivity, we proposed the development strategy:through reasonable spatial planning layout, to achieve ecological balance of the spatial distribution of resources; strengthen green corridor construction, improve landscape connectivity; according to ecological connectivity of the characteristics of different regions, taking the different strategy.③The relationship between Soozhow Creek green corridor accessibility and connectivity is diverse, not a single ’high accessibility low ecological connectivity’ relationship, there are other 8 kinds of relationships. In general, urban is high accessibility and low ecological connectivity, suburban is high ecological connectivity and low accessibility, and accessibility and ecological connectivity in urban-rural fringe zone is moderate. Through field surveys and spatial analysis:a variety of factors affect the residents’ accessibility and ecological connectivity, such as urban planning, design and management, land use patterns, urban and rural infrastructure layout, spatial distance, residents behavioral and psychological preferences perception and so on. The coordinated development strategy of Soozhow Creek green corridor accessibility and ecological connectivity:Having an overall concept of development, urban and rural development of the Soozhow Creek green corridor; scale up green space and build urban and rural ecological greenways network; improve residents’ accessibility from the material facilities point of view, achieve the coordinated development of ecological connectivity; from residents behavioral preferences and psychological perception of view, improve residents’ satisfaction.
