Pile foundation is one of the commonly used foundation forms in transmission and distribution engineering structures, which belongs to the underground engineering, and construction technology is relatively complex. The construction must be careful, or it is very likely to result in the falling of power poles, the breaking of foundation and other quality problems, which is directly related to the safety of pile foundation engineering. So the quality detection is of great significance on pile foundation. At present, the detection of pile foundation is mainly aimed at pile bearing capacity and pile integrity at home and abroad. But only pile bearing capacity and integrity detection in power system are not enough. In the coastal areas in China, large amount of power poles will fall down during typhoon. One of the main reasons is that pole foundation cannot resist the bending moment from wind force due to the unqualified construction of pole foundation. Therefore, overturning bending moment detection on pole foundation is necessary. To this end, based on the cooperative project of "Research of measurement and control system of Pole testing device" between Fuzhou University and Fujian Electric Power Research Institute, automatic loading system of bending moment imitating wind for power pole was put forward for power poles without anti-down thread in power distribution network, which has the feature of easy operation, safety and reliability. The design of automatic loading system of bending moment was realized using PC as the core by building hardware platform and designing software.Firstly, based on equivalent bending moment, the wind loads calculation algorithm of power poles with wires was discussed, and the range of wind loads for normal power poles was concluded through the mathematical modeling of wind loads on the conventional pole, which lays a theoretical foundation for the design of automatic loading system of bending moment.Secondly, a mechanism model of pole bending moment loading was proposed, and detailed mechanical design of loading mechanism was implemented by optimization and simulation for the four aspects of bending moment loading mechanism. The overall design scheme of automatic loading system of bending moment was proposed through the installation of detection node and power & control devices. In the system linear actuator was used as power device of bending moment loading, and was controlled by PC directly through the installation of three detection nodes on mechanism, and then the hardware platform of control system was constructed.Again, the software of the control system was designed according to the specific functionalities of automatic loading system of bending moment. Based on third-party component SPComm, serial communication programmes were realized between PC and detection nodes & between PC and linear actuator drive.The user interface and control program were completed using object-oriented programming method in Delphi 7.0 environment.Finally, field installation, testing and disassembly were done. Field experiments show that automatic loading system of bending moment can realize automatic loading and unloading effectively, convenient assembly and disassembly, and easy operation. The research achieved desired effect.
