Household air conditioner, which is now commonly used, can make comfortable environment. At same time, the problem that the power air conditioner consume is huge cannot be ignored. According to statistics, more than half of energy spent in the building is consumed by air conditioning. The phenomenon gets serious especially in summer, in which more power will be taken to produce same amount of cold, because the efficiency of refrigeration system will be less than that in the environment with low ambient temperature. How to lower the energy consumption is becoming a central focus of studies.Spray and wet enhancement equipment assembled in air cooler can not only reduce the energy consumption but also increasing the safety of the unit, which points out a new view of reduce the power cost by household air conditioner, as well as improve cooling capacity. The paper will be focus on the point. Detailed research contents are shown in the following paragraph.The paper introduces the relationship of condensation temperature and cooling capacity. Condensation temperature reduce along with the cooling capacity improving. Deduced by equations, evaporation time of droplet, which is proportional to the square of the droplet diameter, is obtained. Afterwards, the paper calculates the duration time of evaporation.Aplot-scale planet that can testify the impact of pulverization is built. Volume method is used to measure the flow rate of different nozzles with CCD camera measuring divergence angle. The nozzle with optimal performance is obtained by analyzing the results of measurement.The plot-scale planet is also used to test the hear exchange efficiency under the circumstances of different nozzles with different layout and pressure. The most optimal efficiency, uniform arrangement downwind with outlet pressure by 2MPa, is then concluded.After a series of measure, a conclusion that surface temperature is reduced with increasing of COP when the spray and wet enhancement system is working is obtained. A function fit by Dabiri and Rice is taken to forecast the saved amount of energy when this system is widely used. The difference of measured valued and theoretical valued is discussed.
