With the development and progress of the aerospace industry. And under the trend of large-size and weight reduction of rocket parts. So when carried out dynamics simulation research on spacecraft such as fairing, inter-stage sections,the deformation and vibration of these structure should be considered. While the traditional rigid body dynamics method can hardly to deal with.And it would be a great risk if keep on using rigid multibody dynamics to solve theses question. So a new method must be find to deal with these flexible-rigid mechanism dynamics system.This article is based on the project of anonymous rocket model in China, For this model, it’s faring has following characteristics:large-size, large flexibility and light mass. So the process of fairing separation is a flexible-rigid mechanism dynamics behavior. In order to simulate those dynamic characteristics of fairing separation process, here we use component mode synthesis(CMS) to treat the fairing with flexible characteristics. Besides, this article also use explicit dynamics and rigid body dynamics to prove these results.The main research and results of this article are as follows:1. Reference the actual fairing structure to build digitization fairing model. By analysis the fairing structure and reference to the experimental data, Clear the model structure, boundary conditions, load conditions and get the way to build flexible-rigid mechanism model, Lay the foundation for future research.2. Use Commercial FE software ABAQUS to generate corresponding part’s modal neuter file(MNF),which can be used to represent the flexible behavior of fairing mechanism. Then use multibody dynamics software ADAMS to establish flexible-rigid dynamics model of fairing and simulate it’s normal condition get dynamics characteristics during the separation process.3. Consider the fault conditions of fairing mechanism, by using explicit dynamics method in FE software ABAQUS and component mode synthesis in ADAMS to simulate working conditions of the fairing mechanism. Then investigate safety redundancy of this mechanism. And make sure the flexibility in using component mode synthesis to solve the problem of fairing separation process. This article provides data reference and theoretical basis for study and design of flexible fairing mechanism. And offer an idea to solve those similar multibody dynamics research.
