Pervious concrete is kind of cement-based material which has excellent permeable and breathable function. Therefore, it is more and more popular in field of civil engineering applications such as roads and urban environment. Pervious concrete can be used to improve the mechanical properties and allow for consolidation and drainage of soft clays, silts, and loose sands. But if the pervious concrete was used to conduct as pervious concrete pile composite foundation, it will have some problems as follows:Pore structures of pervious concrete would be partly blocked due to vibration in the construction process and water immersion after concrete placement. On the other hand, pores will be blocked due to clogging materials in the ground if the pore structure is not appropriate. Besides the clogging problem, poor workability performance of pervious concrete may cause caving, breaking of pile and neck shrinkage.To solve the above problems, a series of experiments were conducted to modify the cement paste of pervious concrete. Furthermore, concrete was modified to realize anti-segregation and high workability. A series of experiments were conducted also to find out the influence of Binder/Aggregate ratio态water/cement ratio and Gradation of aggregate to the Physical and mechanical properties of pervious concrete. Laboratory works were also conducted to find out the influence of pores structure to the anti-blockage capability of pervious concrete. Theoretical Computation of effects of clogging of pervious concrete on consolidation of foundation was conducted. Based on the phenomena observed in experiments, suitable mix Proportion can be obtain for engineering application; The 28d compressive strength, Permeability coefficient, Porosity concrete made from the mix proportion can reach lOMPa,9mm/s,20%. Test was carried out to verify vibration compaction method, Bearing capacity is 200kn. Bearing capacity of composite foundation of concrete piles is 210KPa.
