The paper focuses on solid silo structure optimization design tool. This paper takes UG NX as the development platform. The three-dimensional parametic model of solid silo is based on the parametric technology and the knowledge fusion technology. Solid silos in various modules of dimensions, constraints and design experiences with knowledge fusion language programmed separately. Then using the assembly rules are used to combine all modules into solid silo to achieve parametric design of solid silo. By using UG/Open Menuscript and UlStyler technology to the development and design of human-computer interface of three-dimensional parametric model is realized. In this interface, the user can modify the sizes of the silo box body, angle steel, flange, and make automatic creation and modification of the three-dimensional parametric model and lay the foundation for structural optimization.Based on UG NX advanced simulation module, the parametric model is prcessed to generate a finite element model for the pre-processed of finite element analysis. The thesis uses the structure optimization class and second development of UG to design the human-computer interface of structural optimization. The function can achieve the size optimization of solid silo under the allowable stress constraints. In this paper, the development of three-dimensional parametric design model and human-computer interface of the structure optimization can easily and accurately create and rapidly change solid silo model, and execute the structural optimization analysis. The system can significantly shorten the solid silo design cycle, and improve the efficiency and economic benefits of enterprises.
