Ineffectively grounded system has a crucial role in our distribution power network, it could avoid the occurrence of single-phase power system fault and effectively improve the reliability of power supply.However, since the fault current value of the low current grounded system is quite small, which increase the difficulty of fault line selection, there is still no reliable and effective method. With the development of power distribution automation level and customers higher requirements of power quality and power reliability, low current grounding system fault line technology becomes extremely important for power quality improvement.This paper uses phase-mode transformation to get a simplified equivalent circuit. It analyzes the characteristics of small fault transient current system and obtains the basic rules of fault transient zero sequence current and voltage. This paper introduces the principle of Prony algorithm, determines the fitting parameters Prony Algorithm and use Prony algorithm to fit system malfunction zero sequence characteristic quantities. This paper proposes a line selection method which using transient high frequency zero sequence admittance and gives the method in Prony algorithm. All of them are based on the basic pattern of fault transient zero sequence current and voltage. This paper also proposes a method that using transient high frequency zero sequence admittance to select line and the Prony algorithm of the method is presented. All of them are based on the basic pattern of characteristics of zero sequence fault transient high-frequency signal. The paper uses PSCAD power system electromagnetic transient simulation software to establish a small current base system simulation model and simulate different fault system transient signal in order to provide data support for line selection. This paper use simulation of Pucheng substation faults to get projects fault data. We use the program which utilize the method of Transient high frequency zero sequence admittance line selection to process data and select line and we use it to verify the Verify the feasibility of the new method to select line.
